I Bought The SLEVCASE Spotless PC Case with SE380 PSU

Bought the white color. This case is compact. Looking at the specifications written on the packaging, the case size is 353mm tall, 165mm wide, and 260mm long.

I am a bit confused about the ‘SE380’. I am not sure if it is part of the case name or not. I checked a few websites—I guess it is a PSU.

The PC case fan and airflow

It did not come with a case fan. The spot where we usually put an exhaust fan at the back is small. It is not going to fit a regular 120mm or 100mm fan. I just bought a 70mm × 70mm fan and I am waiting for it to be delivered. Going to update about it soon.

Both side panels have the same air vent design. They look sufficient for passive airflow in my opinion. There is no air vent at the front.

My MOBO and PSU

I bought the case online, and it was my first time buying one and I did not realize it was this small. Thankfully my motherboard, the Gigabyte B75M-HD3, fits in. I think it is this one.

According to the specs, my motherboard’s form factor is Micro ATX (24.4cm × 17.4cm). It reaches the bottom of the case, leaving just a few millimeters.

micro atx motherboard barely has any space left at the bottom of the slevcase

And as you can also see in the picture above, my PSU has already taken up almost 1/3 of the case height.

The SLEVCASE 380W power supply that it comes with doesn’t include a PCIe cable for the GPU, so I swapped it with one I already owned.

My GPU

My GPU is a GTX 1660 Super from OCPC. I believe it is the “1660 Super LD” variant from the look of it. I do not know the exact length but I am guessing it is around 245mm.

dual fan gpu barely fits

This graphics card barely fits the case. Dual-fan cards can sometimes be shorter, but I think mine is on the longer side.

CPU cooler

I bought this tower-style cooler many years ago, so I have no idea what model it is now. If I am not mistaken, it is probably from ID-Cooling.

cpu cooler is close to the side panel

Looking from the front of the case with the panel open, the height of the cooler seems quite close to the side panel but the gap is good enough.

SSD and HDD placement

SSD and HDD weirdly placed

The HDD is not supposed to go there. There was actually a metal bracket (I think for mounting an SSD), but I removed it and placed the HDD there, using the screw hole that was originally meant for the bracket.

There is no suitable spot for the HDD that I can think of. It is too big and I cannot place it at the bottom of the case because the front USB 3.0 cable is in the way.

front usb3 cable in the way

I also moved the SSD closer to the front of the case, as you can see in the picture, because I want to avoid the heat coming from the GPU. The heat from the left heatsink goes toward the side panel and I think some of that heat gets pushed downward too.

That is pretty much my experience with the SLEVCASE Spotless SE380 so far. It is a compact case that is more suitable for an office PC. If you are gaming or doing video editing, I suggest going for a regular-sized case for better airflow.
